Refund policy
Effective Date: 15 October 2026
At GMED, a medical equipment brand of Genique Medcrop Pvt. Ltd., we are committed to providing reliable medical equipment, product support, and after-sales service to our customers. Please read this policy carefully before placing an order.
Refund Policy
GMED generally does not offer refunds for purchased products once the invoice has been generated and the order has been processed, except where a refund is required under applicable law or is approved by GMED under the circumstances of the case.
Medical equipment orders may involve invoicing, procurement, documentation, dispatch arrangements, and other administrative processes. For this reason, customers are requested to verify their product selection, model, specifications, quantity, compatibility, and delivery details before confirming an order.
If a customer encounters a problem with a purchased product, GMED will assess the issue and, where applicable, provide repair, replacement, or exchange support in accordance with the product's warranty terms, condition, and applicable law.
Return and Exchange Policy
Returns and exchanges are subject to review and approval by GMED.
A return or exchange request may be considered in circumstances such as:
- The product received is damaged during delivery.
- The product received differs from the product ordered.
- The product has a verified manufacturing defect.
- The product qualifies for an exchange under its applicable warranty terms.
- Another circumstance requires a return or exchange under applicable law.
Customers should report any delivery damage, missing items, or incorrect products as soon as possible after delivery.
Products must be made available for inspection when requested. Their condition, accessories, packaging, serial number, installation status, usage history, and applicable warranty terms may be considered when assessing a request.
Products that have been improperly handled, physically damaged after delivery, modified without authorization, or used contrary to the manufacturer's instructions may not qualify for an exchange or warranty service, subject to applicable law and the relevant warranty terms.
Warranty Policy
GMED offers warranty support according to the warranty provided with the specific product. Certain products may include a one-year onsite warranty, where expressly specified in the quotation, invoice, warranty certificate, or other applicable documentation.
Warranty coverage may include repair or replacement of eligible defective components, subject to the product's warranty terms.
Warranty service is generally subject to the following conditions:
- The product is within its applicable warranty period.
- The reported fault is covered by the warranty.
- The product's model and serial number can be verified.
- The product has been operated and maintained according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- The fault has not resulted from unauthorized repair, misuse, accidental damage, improper installation, or other exclusions specified in the warranty terms.
Consumables, accessories, physical damage, and other excluded items may not be covered unless expressly stated in the applicable warranty documentation.
Warranty coverage and the available remedy will be determined according to the product-specific terms and applicable law.
One-Year Onsite Warranty
Where a one-year onsite warranty is included with a product, GMED will provide eligible onsite service at the covered location, subject to the applicable warranty terms and service conditions.
Onsite warranty support may include inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of covered faults. The availability and scope of onsite service may depend on the product, location, nature of the fault, and warranty coverage.
Customers should contact GMED's service department and provide the product name, model number, serial number, invoice details, and a description of the problem when requesting service.
Onsite service does not automatically cover every type of damage, consumable, accessory, or service requirement.
In-House Repair and Technical Service
GMED provides in-house repair and technical service support for eligible medical equipment.
Depending on the reported issue and product requirements, customers may be asked to arrange delivery of the equipment to GMED's designated service facility for inspection, diagnosis, and repair.
After inspection, GMED may communicate the fault, proposed repair, estimated charges, required spare parts, and expected service timeline.
Repairs outside the warranty period, or repairs involving components excluded from warranty coverage, may be chargeable. Any applicable charges will be communicated before proceeding with chargeable work, wherever practicable.
Customers should not send equipment without first contacting GMED for service instructions.
Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC)
GMED may offer an Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) for eligible medical equipment.
An AMC provides maintenance services according to the agreed contract, which may include scheduled preventive maintenance, equipment inspection, functional checks, and specified technical support.
The exact services, number of visits, contract duration, spare-parts coverage, exclusions, and charges will be defined in the individual AMC agreement or quotation.
An AMC does not automatically include every spare part, consumable, repair, or replacement unless expressly covered by the agreement.
Comprehensive Maintenance Contract (CMC)
GMED may offer a Comprehensive Maintenance Contract (CMC) for eligible equipment, subject to the agreed contract terms.
A CMC may cover preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, and specified spare parts, depending on the equipment and the scope agreed with the customer.
The exact coverage, exclusions, service frequency, response arrangements, duration, and charges will be specified in the relevant CMC agreement or quotation.
Customers should review the agreement carefully to understand which parts and services are included and which may incur additional charges.
Products Outside the Warranty Period
For products outside their applicable warranty period, GMED may provide paid inspection, diagnosis, repair, spare-parts replacement, and other technical services, subject to serviceability and spare-parts availability.
The cost of repair or maintenance will depend on the nature of the fault, parts required, labour, and applicable service terms.
AMC or CMC coverage, where available, will be governed by the separate contract.
How to Request a Return, Exchange, or Service
To submit a request, contact GMED through the website's Contact Us or Service Request page.
Please provide the following information where applicable:
- Customer or hospital name
- Contact number and email address
- Invoice number and purchase date
- Product name and model number
- Serial number
- Description of the issue

GMED will review the request and communicate the next steps. Please wait for instructions before shipping equipment or arranging a return.
Important Conditions
All return, exchange, repair, and warranty requests are assessed according to the product's condition, applicable warranty documentation, relevant service or maintenance agreement, and applicable law.
A warranty does not automatically mean that a product qualifies for a refund or exchange in every situation. Likewise, the general no-refund policy does not exclude any remedy that may be required under applicable law.
This policy should be read together with the relevant quotation, invoice, product warranty certificate, and any applicable AMC or CMC agreement.
